Booking & Payment
If you are already planning and organizing your trip, please fill in the following:

Booking Conditions, Cancellations & Refund Policies
At the time we receive written notice that you wish to book or you must cancel your trip, the following fees will apply (all dates listed, are from departure dates). The amounts due are calculated per person and applies to the total cost of the trip.
****A deposit is required to confirm a booking or guarantee availability/rates****
For Land tours
- Between 48 and more days prior departure, a 10% deposit is required. If cancellation occurs, this deposit amount is refundable. (administrative fees applies, equal or no less than US$30.00 PER PERSON)
- This amount must be equal to a minimum of US$150.00 per person
- Between 47 and 30 days prior departure, a 25% deposit is required. If cancellation occurs, this deposit amount is non refundable
- Between 29 and 8 days prior departure, a 50% deposit is required. If cancellation occurs, this deposit amount is non refundable.
- 7 days or less prior departure, a 100% payment is required. If cancellation occurs, or no show, this payment is non refundable.
For Hotels, Airlines, Cruises in Galapagos, Jungle, Machu Picchu, and other services operated by our Third Party Agents/Operators
- Between 121 or more days before departure, a 10% deposit is required, If cancellation occurs, this deposit amount is refundable. (administrative fees applies, equal or no less than US$30.00 PER PERSON)
- This amount must be equal to a minimum of US$300.00 per person
- Between 120 and 91 days prior departure, a 25% deposit is required. If cancellation occurs, this deposit amount is non refundable.
- Between 91 and 60 days prior departure, a 50% deposit is non refundable. If cancellation occurs, this deposit amount is non refundable.
- 59 days or less prior departure a 100% payment is required. If cancellation occurs, or no show, this payment is non refundable.
****A higher/immediate deposit might be required to confirm a booking or guarantee availability/rates on high demand seasons such as Christmas, New Year, Easter and other international holidays****
Notes:
- Please note that if a tour involves additional service providers considered as third Party Agents such as hotels, restaurants, airlines and others, they might charge higher or lower cancellation fees, or decide to refund certain amount for unused hotel nights or unused airline tickets, since they have different policies, therefore the total of a refund might not be exactly the above described percentage.
- We suggest you to seriously consider not cancelling a trip. You can change your travel dates or transfer your booking to other person/group. If you cancel a trip by genuine circumstances such as health problems, written proves such as medical certificate must be surrender even for minor diseases than avoid you to take the tour. Without a medical certificate, there will be no refund. The refund percentage will be considered by the company; normally a 10% of the total amount paid will be retained as administrative fees. For this kind of refund, the above mentioned conditions on item "1" also apply. If you are unable to travel due to major events, different refund conditions could apply. In any case we strongly suggest you to purchase a travel insurance that will cover all events, since policies are irrevocable.
- In case that a destination is unavailable for a visit, the company (represented by a guide or sales/reservation agent) will offer different options to replace such visit, please note that on behalf to show you our country, we will provide the best possible options to continue with your travel experience for which we are in charged, therefore the options are totally unrelated to previous visits that you could have done, your remaining time in the city or country or personal preferences. For shared services (SIC seat in a car), the preference of the majority part of the group, will be the choice. All options are always under the company or its representative criteria, same which is to ensure the clients satisfaction and safety. In the case you are forced to leave the country before your tour finishes, due to a major force event, out of both parts control (supplier and buyer), a refund might apply or not, the amount of this will depend on the costs that we could have incurred by reducing or cancelling a passenger. If TerraDiversa acts: a) as an Operator for a whole seller/travel agency: no refund will be returned directly to passengers, any refund will be dealt between the passenger and his travel agent; b) as an direct service supplier, no immediate refund will be offered, this will take place through a wire transfer to a bank account in the following 30 days.
- We are responsible to you for the proper performance of our obligations under the contract irrespective of whether those obligations are provided directly by us, or by third party service providers engaged by us acting within the proper course of their employment. We are liable to you for any damage caused to you by our failure to perform the contract or by our improper performance of the contract, unless that failure is: a) attributable to you; b) attributable to a third party unconnected with the provision of the services and are unforeseeable or unavoidable; c) due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control and could not have been avoided even if all due care had been taken d) due to an event which even with all due care we could not foresee or forestall. In any event, you are strongly advised to insure yourself and your relatives against any possible risk that may occur.
Payment Options
All deposits or payments must be done in US Dollars, using any of the following options:

- You can also pay by using Pay Pal. PayPal is an online payment system faster and safer. The receiver (TerraDiversa, in this case) gets the money without seeing the numbers of your credit card or bank account. To make payments with PayPal is very easy, please follow these instructions:
We will send you by e-mail, an invoice of payment with details of the services that you requested and price to be paid. To make this payment is not necessary that you are an active user of PayPal.
In your e-mail, it will appear a link, when clicking on that link you will see a form of payment. You can identify at PayPal (if you have a PayPal account), or simply enter your details and credit card information in that form. Also it is very important to enter a personal password for this transaction for your own security.
After submitting the form and completed the payment, you will get a PayPal e-mail confirming your payment, followed by a mail from TerraDiversa confirming the booking for the services required by you.
The use of the PayPal payment generates a small surcharge to the amount payable.

If you are already in Ecuador, you could make a deposit to our bank account, at one of the branches of our local bank; or also pay in cash, traveller checks or credit card directly at our offices.
