During the tour we visit the main square, walk down the main 9 de Octubre avenue, stop at the plaza Seminario, commonly known as iguanas park and then to the Malecon 2000. This long and beautiful waterfront offer entertainment for all ages, play grounds for kids, botanical garden, Ecuadorian history museum, an e-max, shopping area, good restaurants and obviously a wonderful view over to the Guavas river. Las Peñas neighborhood at the far end of the waterfront, shows the old Guayaquil and it's an excellent place to walk around, visit a local bar and climb up to the beam tower.

After the city tour visiting the main sites such as Plaza Seminario, the boulevard walk, Santa Ana hill and las Penas neighborhood, the group will be driven to the other side of the Guayas River.

The Historical Park, managed by the cultural department of the Central Bank, shows how life used to be in Guayaquil and its surroundings back in the eighteen, nineteen and early twenty century. Here we find a wild life zone where we could see monkeys, crocodiles, eagles, macaws, etc in a great and friendly natural tropical environment. Then we walk to the Urban architectural zone to observe the typical wooden construction and beautiful balconies from those years. Finally we visit the zone of traditions where different displays and presentations will connect us with the life of the local country people known as montuvios and that of the wealthy farmers related to cocoa and coffee production.

About one hour North-west of Guayaquil we reach the sea shore ride known as La Ruta del Sol (the sun's way). On route we pass several small fishing villages, which additionally to that economy, have developed a craft making culture with materials such as bamboo, straw, ceramics, limestone, recycled paper, sea shells among other local elements. This coastal area has some of the most beautiful beaches with hundreds of kilometers to relax, walk and enjoy the sea side. Montañita is the surfing and social center for visitors with good food and several adventure activities offered.

Machalilla National Park extends 55000 ha, including La Plata island (home to nesting sea birds such as boobies, frigates, pelicans and albatross), great beaches like Los Frailes and La Playita, a big dry forest area, indigenous communities with archeological sites such as Agua Blanca and a big portion of tropical forest (San Sebastian) with giant trees and some wild mammals. Between June and September over 200 humpback whales come to this area in order to mate, offering great viewing opportunities for visitors.
